Why Qatar 

The HSE sector in the oil & gas industry is experiencing major developments, advances and upgrades region wide, specifically in Qatar as the world’s eyes turn to this small but influential country. 

The government has strengthened regulations for the health and safety of its workforce and reflection of it can be seen with the establishment of the National Committee of Occupational Health and Safety at the Ministry of Labour in 2011. Also in the same year, the Health, Safety, and Environment Regulatory and Enforcement Directorate issued a memorandum providing a brief to industry stakeholders of the Directorate's approach in establishing HSE risk regulating guidelines. The HSE Legal Framework in the Oil & Gas Sector was issued as part of its HSE legislation assessment exercise.
